Escape for a while from the familiar and the stresses of the present and immerse yourselves in the environment that was once special to a very privileged few. The Castle is our home, and we maintain high standards of comfort and service, and we are happy to help and advise guests at all times.
All our kitchens are conveniently equipped (including a dishwasher) however are only intended for light holiday use by our couples. Meticulous care is taken to ensure that high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. Our guests are fortunate in being able to enjoy, if they so wish, the excellent choice of eateries in the area, for easy relaxing meals out; they need not be forced to spend precious holiday time in the kitchen!
Our bathrooms are plainly and traditionally equipped; with cleanliness and convenience being considered tantamount. Towels, toiletries, toilet rolls, bathmats etc. are generously and thoughtfully provided for our guests comfort and convenience.
Hospitality baskets are prepared in each Apartment to welcome guests with light breakfast foods, beverages and snacks for their convenience thus enabling the holiday to start without the necessity to bring breakfasts/snacks for short break stays, or for the first few days or so of a week stay.
The nearest inn/restaurant offering good meals is conveniently only half a mile from the Castle and it is very popular with our guests.
There is ample free car parking space on the private drive between the Castle and paddock.
There are convenient local general stores, bakeries, inns, cafes, takeaways, tearooms, garage and a Post Office in the villages of Llanrug, Cwm y Glo and Brynrefail all within half a mile to a mile and a half or so of the Castle. Guests taking a morning stroll will relish the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the little bakery a quarter of a mile down the lane from the Castle.
There are an excellent variety of local eateries from traditional Welsh inns to fine restaurants in other nearby small towns and villages. There are a good range of shops and eateries in Llanberis (three miles away) and of course the bustling tourist centre and Royal Borough of Caernarfon (four miles away).
A wide variety of outdoor pursuits can be undertaken in the area, and walkers, climbers and cyclist will indeed be spoiled for choice, whilst those who prefer to relish the breathtaking scenery from the comfort of a car will find Bryn Bras Castle an ideal touring base, with the dramatic Lleyn Peninsula and North Wales Coast, the Isle of Anglesey and Snowdonia National Park all easily accessible. Beautiful beaches abound, and there is fishing, riding and pony trekking, flying, canoeing, sailing and water sports, golf and tennis all within easy reach, and in inclement weather there is the indoor Leisure Centre at Caernarfon provides heated pools, squash and tennis courts and activities hall. With nearby Caernarfon, the University City of Bangor and Llandudno, there is a combination of theatres, cinemas, shopping precincts, markets, museums, castles, historic houses, gardens and much more...
