A wide polished 10 foot diameter wooden spiral stairway leads to what some consider to be the Castle’s masterpiece, a Neo-Romanesque style circular 23 foot diameter sitting / dining room of beautiful symmetry, the walls garlanded with twenty-three decorative arches and pillars.

There is a very spacious and comfortable sitting area around the large ornate slate fireplace. The main dining table is situated near a gathering of tall windows. There is a convenient kitchen/breakfast area on one side. The spiral stairway leads on to the bathroom and toilet and continues on to the spacious impressive circular 23 foot diameter bedroom above. This is beautifully furnished including a Victorian half-tester double bed, a single bed (in case separate beds are preferred) and an elegant carved slate fireplace.

From both the living room and the bedroom there are views of landscaped gardens leading to the walled Knot Garden.

Flag Tower offers a truly unique romantic setting, ideal for honeymooners.

Please note Flag tower is not recommended for the elderly because of the spiral staircase.
